Jose Candia was born in Argentina and currently lives in Ontario, Canada. Mr. Candia studied painting and design in Tandil where his family resides. In the 1970s he pursued a engineering degree specializing in surveying. Later that decade he moved to the Greater Toronto Area and now lives in Mississauga (Ontario). Since the 80s he has been painting and exhibiting his works in both Canada and the United States.

Mr. Candia's latest works depict the flavor of a bygone era in color-filled detail... colorful facades, nostalgic reliefs on decaying walls and cobblestone corridors begging to be explored.

Jose Candia's works also include colorful and exciting mosaics of tile for the very demanding art enthusiast. 

Mario Candia, like his brother, was born in Tandil, Argentina where he continues to reside.  Mr. Candia received his degree in architecture from La Plata University which has become the foundation for his art's enhanced design and form. He is a member of the prestigious "Circulo de arte de Tandil".  Many galleries and cultural centers throughout Argentina exhibit his work.  His works are included in important institutions and private collections, including those of the A. Maria Country Estate and the Argentine Aeronautic Circle.

Roque Castelnuovo, a noted Argentinean journalist, writer and art critic says of his work "Mario Candia's skilled and refined technique produces genuine works of art. He knows arrangements of lines, conceiving his works in a vast range of lights, darks and half-tones. Furthermore, he expresses an exquisite validity of mist and shadow which recreates a unique atmosphere within a wise harmony. His concern for the forms, contrasts and precise tones renders his artistic sensibilities more noticeable, thus giving form to an aesthetic projection of great pictorial value."
