Elaine Hahn has a niche and she is very very good at it.  I first met Elaine in Atlanta in 2006 and I was immediately taken with the primary focus of her artwork... the East Coast shoreline, the boats, marinas, and - from my childhood memories - the fresh seafood being off-loaded from the fleet.

Besides being a very charming and fun person, Elaine is a highly skilled and educated artist originally coming from the country's heartland in Missouri. She has both a BA and MA in Art from the University of Missouri which she followed up with tutorage under noted artist and a stint with the great American greeting card company, Hallmark.

Elaine is a prominent member of several painting societies including the American and National Watercolor Societies, the Florida Plein Air Society, the Oil Painters of America, and the American Impressionist Society.

Elaine's recent work in Plein Air and Studio Oils has brought a new dimension to her work.  She was awarded First Place recognition for her December 2005 Clearwater (Florida) Paint Out, and a third place award at the February 2006 Punta Gorda (FL) Art Festival.  Elaine has been selected to participate in the Estes Park Colorado Plein Air Paint Out and the Carmel (CA) Plein Air Festival.
