is still well within the development phase. Our original intent
was clearly to present framing options within the lines of moulding we
have selected for the Gallery. The frame makers we have chosen
for the gallery include our partner Larson-Juhl - which we feel is the
best overall domestic frame maker in the country - A.P.F Munn, Nurre
Caxton, the House of Mercier, and Nielsen. Each frame maker brings
something unique to the table, which will be described in greater
detail within each of their introductions.
Providing framing for each work of art that we sell is a bit overly
ambitious and frankly a bit expensive. While we can easily be
price competitive with your local providers, getting the framed work
to you safely can be an expensive proposition. But for those
that don't mind paying a bit more and who want the art "wall ready'
when it arrives, than we can provide quality, hand-crafted framing at
a reasonable price... and, in some cases hand-delivered and placed.
In some cases you might simply want a
replacement frame at a good price. Our A.P.F. Munn, Larson-Juhl
Concerto, and House of Mercier frames are shipped assembled and ready
for the mounting of your art at your end. Why buy these frames
from the Steele Pointe Frame Studio ? The answer is pretty
simple... price! The A.P.F. Munn, Larson-Juhl Concerto, and
House of Mercier lines come to us pre-assembled... they are high end
frames with finished corners... it costs us no more to ship them
directly to you... and we can offer them to you at a substantial
savings. Once the frame arrives you have your art mounted by your
local framer... the overall cost is substantially less.
We're going to start off this section with a
line of Ready Made Frames from Larson-Juhl and Nielsen. The
Larson-Juhl frames are offered in standard sizes 8" by 10", 11" by
14", and 16" by 20". These frames were selected with both the office
and home in mind. Further discounts are available to government
agencies and corporate offices, and, when four or more frames are
purchased at the same time. Contact us for price quotes.
The Nielsen metal frames are purchase by leg size in
pairs... for instance if you were framing a 16" by 14" lobby poster,
you might order a pair of 18" legs and a pair of 16" legs
allowing for 1" of matting around the art. All hardware for
assembly comes with the frame.
