Chris
Glaser is one of those people with unexplainable attraction... he's clearly
at peace within himself and with all around him. Chris is a Yellow Springs
(OH) artist whom we met during the recent artists studio walk tours. His home
and studio, nestled a little further outside of town than most of the other
artists, was warm and open and inviting to friend and visitor alike. You can't
help but like Chris from moment one.
"Curiosity is what drives my artistic style. Through Nature, Memory, Dreams and the Moment at hand, I like to create stories, works of fiction which can be interpreted differently for each viewer. In Nature, all things are connected, a great circle of life, death and renewal. Similarly, in the creation of my works of art, the ideas I began with will go full circle with the beginning and ending strokes of the brush joining in completion."

abundant source of inspiration.
Remembering
dreams, despite how accurately recalled, can bring intuition to play and jump
start a painting. The end result is often a pleasant surprise, a story which has
changed with time."
"Having been a self-taught builder and carpenter most of my life, my skills of problem solving have played an important role in how I interpret and design the composition and color of my works of art. These problem-solving techniques have guided me through a process that has worked as well for my art as for my carpentry. The intention of my art is to open a window to creative imagination and to broaden the viewer's perspectives of the interconnected world we share."
