Greenwich Workshop Fine Art

  Greenwich Workshop is an art publishing house located in Seymour, Connecticut and the publishing house home for many of America's finest and best known artists. Additionally, Greenwich Workshop artists probably provide more subject diversity than the other limited edition publishers... subject categories include artwork defined as Americana, nostalgia, fantasy, myth, humor, pets, floral, wildlife, western, aviation, military, aerospace, historical, Native American, scenic, nature, inspirational... etc!

   Like the other major publishing houses, Greenwich Workshop prints are either giclees (using special printers onto canvas), canvas transfers, or prints on high quality paper. The company has been printing giclee canvases for the past two years, canvas prints prior to mid-2005 may be canvas transfers.

   That said, let me note at this point that Somerset is a provider of fine art prints to galleries and brokerages such as the Steele Pointe Art Gallery and Art Brokerage and does not sell directly to the public.  The prices you will see on their website are the retail prices jointly set by the publishing house and the artist.  The Gallery buys these works at wholesale pricing, but is expected - on the newer releases - to honor the established retail prices and to maintain consistency in pricing throughout the art field... our gallery honors that expectation.  On older pieces the Gallery has some flexibility, but if the artist's works are popular AND if they are "Sold Out" at the publishing house, you can expect the price of the print to rise, and in some cases, dramatically !... the lesson to be learned here is to let the Gallery know of your interest in a particular artist or style so that we can keep you informed of new offerings, and to order your artist's giclee or print early (and in some cases the works can be even pre-ordered).

   Greenwich Workshop has many talented artists and my plan is to highlight nearly half of my personal favorites, you will need to spin off of our site here - by the provided hyperlink - and see the others at the Greenwich Workshop website. Some of the prints will be marked as "sold out", however, if that piece is still something that you would like to purchase, let us know... often times we are able to locate the print within the secondary market. (Note... in many cases I've listed only the signed and numbered giclee on canvas, however there many be other options which are currently unavailable from the publishing house.)
