Artist Catherine Jenkins is an specially talented watercolourist with inherent abilities to create her works of art around something unseen. Gallery viewers are drawn to her art more by what they don't seen than by what they do. For instance, the unsolicited feelings of anticipation, excitement, the possibility of love and the fear of rejection, all hidden in the picnic basket of Catherine's "Romantic Picnic".  While the majority of artists paint and interpret what they see, Catherine paints and interprets what she feels, building her paintings from a "feeling"... outwards.  

  In putting this gallery together I've struggled with how I wanted this to be presented.  As many of you know, my personal "art" is Presentation and even though I am struggling with this, I know in my heart and mind that I absolutely need to present these images to you without any form of framework.  Quite honestly, Catherine does not have sufficient resources to appropriately frame her work... nearly all of her work displayed here at the Gallery is housed in threadbare framing.  Outside of the photographers, Catherine is the only artist whose work will come to you archivally mounted on conservation foam board topped with a single mat window and shrink-wrapped for protection.
